I need to build a new PC.

It will be for gaming.

Id prefer an i7 with a 1080 and it must be in this case Corsair Graphite 780T Full Tower Case.

I know new i7s are coming in the next months but will they be worth waiting for?

Some builds would be nice.

With a less expensive case and i5 you can probably meet your 1300 build price.

High end Kabylake isn't worth waiting for because it seems that it'll basically be overclocked Skylake with some new features (none of which are really of interest to gamers). On the lower-end it is interesting because there'll be an unlocked i3 but nothing noteworthy will change in the high end.

Unfortunately within that budget you can't really get a GTX 1080 without making serious sacrifices to the point where getting a 1080 at all would be rather pointless. What I recommend is:

You could add a second GTX 1070 later (or swap it out for a 1080) if you want more performance. For the storage I opted for a low capacity SSD instead of a 1TB HDD, but if you feel like you'd need a lot of storage initially then get a 1TB HDD instead.

Well i wont need storage or OS as i have the old HDD and SSD, which ill just slot in.

Do i really need a 850W PSU?

The case is expensive but its an amazing case.

Suppose the 1080s are just a bit pricy atm.

The reason Mr Kagouris recommended a 850W PSU is because should you decide you want to implement SLI with two graphics cards, you will need the wattage.
