Just so you know, the i3-2120 isn't really overclockable. You can probably squeeze another 150MHz out of it but that's it!

great starting platform, can upgrade to SLI and IVB/unlocked CPU @ a later date and play everything currently.

Oh sorry, I neglected to mention that this is a gradual upgrade system. I'm gonna throw in another 6870, then upgrade to an i5 2500k/IVB processor down the line.

In that case, the 2120 is fine. As for your ram, make sure it will fit below your future aftermarket CPU cooler too.

If you ever want something like a Noctua NH-D14 it is. Only certain rams fit with heatsinks like that.
