Hi,

Iv just set up my new build and I'm getting an A3 Error on my motherboard display when I boot.
I have read others are getting this error but they cant get into the Bios. Mine is booting me into the Bios each time and from there if i save and exit it boots me into windows 10 fine and then runs with no problems until i restart or turn off.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to stop the error so i can boot into windows not the bios.

Cheers

My parts:

i7-6700K
Asus ROG Z170 Maximus VIII Hero
Corsair 16GB DDR4 Vengeance LPX 3200MHz (x2 8sticks)
GeForce GTX 980
H80i Cooler.
Corsair RM850i Power Supply
Boot Drive - small Sandisk SSD.
Game Drive - 1TB WD Black
Storage Drive - 2TB WD Green

Solution
At this phase of POST, Qcode A3 is (IDE enable) so your Bios is looking at enabling your HDD which is IDE.
Check your Bios configuration for priority of boot devices. You have not listed your SSD or HDDs and what your OS is on, so can't comment further.

..

Sorry my boot drive is just a small Sandisk SSD. I have a 1TB WD Black drive with my games on. 2TB WD Green for films, music etc.

Go into your Bios>Boot menu>SATA Support. Ensure all Sata devices are detected during POST.
Check configurations for priority and disable fast boot at this time. You can change back later for faster boot times.
Check that CSM (Compatibility Support Module) is enabled to allow you to configure devices that you want to boot.
