Hey guys how's it going,

I'm looking to upgrade to a new rig this month and I'm looking for some help with parts selections and making sure I'm a little bit future proof so I don't have to upgrade again in the next 3-4 years.

Approximate Purchase Date: This month
Budget Range: 1,000 - 1,400 USD
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, 3D Modelling/Rendering(Zbrush, 3DS Max, etc), Photo Editing
Are you buying a monitor: No
Parts to Upgrade: (e.g.: CPU, mobo, RAM) **Include Power Supply Make & Model If Re-using**
Do you need to buy OS: No
Preferred Website(s) for Parts:Newegg.com
Location: Beaverton, OR
Parts Preferences: Intel CPU, Nvidia GPU
Overclocking: Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe in the future
Your Monitor Resolution: 1x 2650x1440, 1x 1920x1080
Additional Comments: The case and PSU are for my old rig as I'll move my new parts into a full tower I have already with a couple of HDD's and DVD drive.
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My current pc is 4 years old with a gtx 580 and an i7 2600k. It works pretty well but my girlfriend's old pc finally gave up on her and she needs a rig to use photoshop and 3d modelling on. Just the excuse I needed to upgrade my setup ;)

Here are the parts list that I pulled together real quick last night:

The total cost comes out to around $1,400

Thanks for any help/advice!

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll definitely be grabbing the mobo and CPU but I think I'll hold off on the 32GB ram and do a 16GB set just to start. If I need more I'll upgrade later when money isn't so tight.
