Hello all,
First I appreciate anyone's time and effort to provide advice for a system build. It's been several years since I built my last machine (going on 7-8 years and still running), not even really sure where to start looking at parts again.

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: 1-3 months

Budget Range: $1000 or less

System Usage from Most to Least Important:
1) Batch processing thousands of product images for ecommerce site (photoshop)
2) managing large (35k-100k+) product spreadsheets

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade:
- Motherboard
- RAM
- Processor
- HD
- graphics card (only if it affects Photoshop batching efficiency)

. Do not need:
- case: LIAN LI PC-7B plus II Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
- monitor: SAMSUNG 2043BWX High Gloss Piano Black 20" 5ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor
- keyboard, mouse, monitor

Do you need to buy OS: YES

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Usually use newegg, but impartial.

Location: Green Bay, WI

Parts Preferences: by brand or type: prefer Intel processor

Overclocking: NO

SLI or Crossfire: NO

Your Monitor Resolution: 1680 x 1050

Additional Comments: I've built a handful of computers, so I'm familiar with the process.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: currently batching images on a laptop, and takes 4+ days to complete 35k product images

Include a list of any parts you have already selected with descriptively labeled links for parts.
- none selected at this time.

The latest refresh of intels hyperthreading i7 . Locked multiplier , no overclocking
H97 chipset motherboard . You could use a m-ATX boad and save $20 or so
16 gigs of low latency RAM . Ideal for productivity tasks
Hybrid boot hard drive . This includes a small solid stae drive [ SSD ] so it boots quicker and loads frequently used programs quicker too.
Secondary target hard drive . Its better to save your finished work directly to another drive so you are not reading and writing from your boot drive at the same time
The graphics processor has plenty of RAM and may help accelerate some photoshop tasks . I will have lower power consumption than equivalent AMD cards .If you need to trim money then her...
