I am building a new pc soon. I have my latest plan for specifications listed below. I already have peripherals including a montior. Also, I would like to know how much of a performance decrease I will experience with my Pci express 2.0 Motherboard and GTX 780. I have read a couple of other threads that say there is less than a 5% performance decrease on a Pci express 16x slot, but how does this translate to fps and detail level? Yes I know that optical drives are dead but I personally still use them ocassionallly for ripping cds and it saves me the hassle of finding someone else with an optical drive and creating an OS install USB. This will be used for editing and gaming.

Get an i5 4690 instead of the 8350. It'll generate less heat and consume less power

Sorry I forgot to mention that I want to use this for editing as well as gaming. I have heard that the FX-8350 is a good CPU for editing. Do you think that a 4690 or better yet a 4670k would be comparable in editing?

How does an i7 4770k do in video rendering? I heard that is is better than the fx 8350 in both editing and gaming. Is this true?
