New Build Advice

I'm about to move into the Intel PC market, for the first time. I've always bought AMD primarily for the budget, but Intel seem to be the best.

I heard there was a new chip(set?) out next year? Bearing in mind I have a budget ( £1200) is it worth waiting for this new tech or shall I foster my impatience and buy something recent (enough).

Wish list: I7 5000+, M.2 capable motherboard (with PCI 3.0 blah blah), 16GB DDR4 2666MHz, GF980, xxxGB M.2 PCIe strorage. I got the rest. Just the guts.

Thoughts?
