Hi there

Almost 9 years on from my first post on this forum looking for build advice, that wonderful PC has reached its limits and I'm back in the market.

Here are the draft specs for my new build: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/wmsfN6

I'm looking for something that can handle current games at 1440p. Keeping 60fps is very important to me. I'd like to stay around the 1200e price point but not adverse to upping it to hit those requirements.

Thanks for and comments or advice!

500GB storage is pretty small these days also most would get an M.2 form-factor drive to avoid cabling. Many here would do 2x16GB RAM to ensure you don't have upgrade in the future.

I wouldn’t get a DRAMless SSD for a main drive tbh and the 7800XT does have issues crashing PCs

Thanks this is great advice.

I genuinely don't need the extra storage but having looked up the performance improvement of m.2 I'm sold.

32gb of RAM sounds crazy but again the price is minimal so why not.

The only thing I don't want to change is the motherboard as, due to some quirks of my setup, I need a mobo with a digital optical output.
