I'm building a completely new system, my specs right now are

FX 4300 Quad Core (OC) 4.4GHz
GTX 750ti DDR5
8GB Ram DDR3
Cooler Master Hyper 103
L60GMA-P34 (FX) (MS-7641)

New Build
AMD FX 8320
MSI 970 Gaming AMD AM3 GBE LAN ATX Motherboard
Patriot Viper 3 Black Mamba 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Corsair CP-9020097
(thinking of getting the GTX 980 down the line, for the time being i'm gonna use the 750ti from old build)
(not sure what pc case yet)

Will the new build make much difference in gaming?

Solution
Same here. If the none X verison of the 12 is a good price I may go for it but there may also be a 10 core if AMD can run 3 cores per CCX on one chip and 2 cores per CCX on the second chip. AMD may also add an 8 core to make buy into the X399 cheaper like Intel done with the 7740K.

I'd stay away from the AM3 platform all together. Try and save up a little money and get a 6 core Ryzen 5 or something. That smokes the 8320, plus the 8320 will under perform in some processor intensive games.

Don't want to spend like 800 euro on my build, and i'm not expecting to run the newest games, i just want to run PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, I don't need a brilliant pc

Cancel the order.
You're flushing your money down the drain.

PUBG is quite demanding, you say "i'm not expecting to run the newest games", but with that budget you're just buying a gun to shoot yourself in the figurative foot with.
If you have the ability to get better performance for the money, why not listen to others?

Would the Cooler Master Hyper X 103 not do better than the stock cooler? because i know AMD loves heat from my FX 4300 and had to go from a stock cooler to the Cooler Master Hyper X 103 and I do not regret getting that cooler due to my computer not overheating anymore, temps stay at like 30-40 degrees on full load

Cancel it and get a R5-1600 instead. There's no reason to invest in the AM3 platform at this point.

No, I'd actually use the AMD stock cooler over any low end cooler you could buy. AMD actually did a good job redesigning the stock cooler for Ryzen.

Early leaks have the 16 core threadripper at only $850 so the 12 core should be $600ish I would guess. Not a bad core count for the price. The D14 will come in handy as one of those OC'ed to 4Ghz will need nearly water cooling unlike the 8 core that only need a 40~50$ cooler.

Yeah an $800 CPU is kind of out of the question for me at the moment. It would be nice, but I definitely couldn't stomach that price.

I just saw the X299 prices. Ouch. That Asus X299 Prime board looks sweet, but $489 is insane.
