New Build and no display!!

Hello , I just build a computer and everything is working except I get no display from GPu, when I switch to onboard I get a display , I also try a different card and all slots and still no getting any display, the card LED's and fans are working but there is no display to monitor, pleas I need help don't know what else to do, I manage to install windows but it wont allow me to download GPU drives its said that there is no card install in system,, mother board is a Maximus VIII Hero GU is a GTX 1070 hybrid with a core i7 6700k and 16g of corsair memory
 
Solution
make sure you have enough power to your card, and you have it in the correct pci-e x16 slot.

If this is correct

STEP 1-Turn off your PC and remove the power cord
STEP 2- Remove the CMOS battery for 60 seconds
STEP 3- Hold the pc power on button for 15 seconds.
STEP 4- Put back in the CMOS battery
STEP 5- Plug back in the main power to PSU
STEP 6- boot up post results

Incase you are not sure what the CMOS battery is

Solution
did everything and still no display from video card, fans are running and led's working, on bios it was set to auto I change to pcie and still no display
 
so I check the GPU on another computer and its working,,but why it wont work on this Asus VIII Hero motherboard??? I'm lost I try everything above and all 3 pcie slots what could be the problem?
 
Thanks all for the help, the board Pcie was faulty and not working so I took it back to microcenter and try to get a new one but they did not have it on stock, there the person helping me recommended gigabyte Z170 ultra gaming board ,so I went with that one and everything is working fine :),, thanks again I end up doing everything bailojustin a second time and got display from 2 pcie but no the first one. thanks again
