Why are you getting a 3rd Gen Intel processor instead of 4th?

I would get a 4th Generation i7 K processor, a Z97 chipset if you can. I would not get a single stick of memory in a dual channel board, so get another one. That should be it.

excellet build choice. pay no attention to the nay sayers. they are not looking at your budget needs at all and by going with ivybridge you loose about 8% performance, that's all, but you save much more than that in budget.

seriously, if you go by some of the recommendation and buy the high end hardware, all you will be left with is just once peice of hardware, and you will have no money for the remaining 6 or 7 pieces to complete a build.

one thing though, some parts like graphics cards are cheap online and others like mother boards are cheap in stores. so i would recommend you make a visit to your computer hardware stores once before purchase so that you save that last hundred as well.

here is a build advice from me. as you can see, my build is a balanced one, and includes plenty of peripherals as well.
