New build booting problems

I just built my new build and after trying to boot it started up for a second then it shutdown it keeps doing this. I tried the psu shorting method with a paper clip and it worked fine. So check everything still happening... Tried to boot up with different psu and it worked. So any suggestions?

What particular power supply is the one you are having the problem with and what model is the one that works?

The one not working is a EVGA 750B and the working one is a CM rs500

With the cooler master psu yes but not with the EVGA I think I'm just going to send it back

Long shot here, but is it possible that the voltage switch is on the wrong setting?

On the back of the power supply, small red embedded switch above the power switch and cable plug on that power supply I believe, it should be set to 115 if you live in the US or japan, 230/240 if you live anywhere else.

Evga power supply's don't have one I'm just going to send it back

Interesting, maybe you bought a version that was the wrong voltage. In any case if you want to return it you should follow this http://www.evga.com/howtorma/ don't RMA to the seller, the manufacturer will be more helpful.

I would rma to manufacture but I cut the sleeving on one of the modular cables and the seller said he would still take it back and pay for the shipping there
