Question New Build - Boots, No Display.

New build with Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX Z790, RTX 4070 FE and i5-13600K CPU.

The PC boots, the fans spins, GPU spins, but I get no display via a DP through the GPU or the Mobo. Using a Dell S2721DGF from the last build that worked just fine on a 2060.

I've tried clearing CMOS, checking cable connections, etc.

Am I missing something?

Trident Z DDR5 6000
Samsung 990 Pro
Fractal Celsius+ S24 AIO
Super Flower Leadex VII XG 1000W

When you tried the motherboard DP connector, did you physically remove the 4070 FE?

I did not, no. I'll try that later today when I get home!

That said, if it does work and I can install the OS as normal, what would cause the GPU to not function properly? Simply just drivers, or something more?

At this point, unknown. I assume when you state "no display", you can't even get into the BIOS using the Delete key at boot time?

Correct. The monitor works fine, however it won't display the mobo boot logo, etc. I can play with the monitor settings, so I know the it works. Checked the source and it was set correctly as well.

I'll try removing the GPU and using the on-board graphics along with using a different DP cable maybe. Never had this issue before when building, so I'm a little lost.

Turns out the old monitor I was using somehow broke internally during transport. Plugged in a new monitor and it worked perfectly. Thanks, all.
