Hey all,

I am building a new system for my gf's little brother. I have selected the following parts:
http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/RjCGsY

I have a few questions:
1. Do you see any glaring problems with the parts I have chosen?
2. To heatsink or not to heatsink? (no OC whatsoever, EVER.)
3. This is my first Mini ATX build, is it that much harder to fit everything in the case and manage cables?
4. Would I be able to use any other parts to save money on the build I have selected?

Thanks for any advice all, you're great!

Edit: This build will be used for gaming.

Go with Srimasis' build so far, I would get 2x4GB memory to use the bandwidth from dual channel. I would save some money on the 960 and just get the 2GB version since it can't even max out the 2GB VRAM it does have on its bus.

the 950 should do just fine for the most part. I ran a 750ti for a good while and was satisfied. If the kid is playing mostly league of legends and the sort, then keep the gpu and save some cash with an i3

this will do for medium settings on most games that are out now (granted they're well optimized like BF4 or something) or keep the 950 and put a small ssd in for os

evo 212 would be quiter and cooler. If it fits in that case of course.

The bundled intel cpu cooler is enough, as long as you are not overclocking.
Plus if you could stretch the budget around 100$ more, then you can also go for gtx970 which will make your pc VR ready.

Thanks for everything guys, really great advice all around. In case anyone is looking at this thread in the future here is the updated list:
http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/DKm63C

Changes to srimasis' intial list based off these variables:
- 2x4GB memory to use the bandwidth from dual channel
- save some money on the 960 and just get the 2GB version since it can't even max out the 2GB VRAM it does have on its bus
- The bundled intel cpu cooler is enough, as long as you are not overclocking (no heatsink in build)

Cheers
