I'm not new to computers but I am mostly illiterate to the Hardware side of things. I game / stream / create content etc. so I wanted my build to be pretty beefy. The PROBLEM I'm running in to is, this things gets HOT. MY CPU is water cooled and runs at around 50c under load, top GPC around 60 and bottom around 77c again under load. The problem is (Fintek F71889AD) which I still don't know what that is BUT that things gets upwards to 92c etc.

I'll post my specs below.

Mobo Evga x299 Dark
Processor Intel Core i9-9820
32 GB Ram
Windows 64 Bit Pro
Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 TI x 2 NVLink
Elgado 4k60pro
Samsung SSD 860 Evo 4 TB
HGST 4 TD

Everything runs cool except the (Fintek F71889AD) when under load (gaming mostly or streaming) it gets up to 92-95c consistently. My outer case (glass is also very warm to the touch)

I'll post the log while my CPU is idle

If everything else seems normal, then you are probably getting a false reading.

Have you got the latest BIOS loaded?

I assume that you have got some case fans to exhaust hot air and they are all set to force cool air in the front and hot air out the back

Hi nmpchuck :) I don't think this is of concern however.

Fintek F71889AD is basically an on die I/O chip used to report and measure thermal diode temperatures. Here is a Fact sheet: http://www.fintek.com.tw/index.php/i-o-controller-and-i-f-management/item/61-f71889a

If your Case cover is hot as you describe then remove it and point a desktop fan pointing to the interior of the case and see if temperatures drop. You may need more case fans!! if your Air flow is insufficient.

Are you Overclocked at all.? If so then list the water cooler your using.?

What TIM did you apply to your heatsink?

I use HWInfo64 to accurately measure and report die temps. Use this to compare.
