Question New build can’t get into bios

Hey all,

I finished building my PC. On first turn on it booted into the bios fine and I selected the usb to boot from to install windows.

For some reason it wouldn’t boot just a black screen. When I restarted the machine now the f2 screen won’t even work at all it just stays there.

If I reset the CMOS I get the press f1 for setup which I can get past then it’s just a black screen?

Any ideas would help a tonne!

For context it’s an ASUS ROG Z970-H motherboard.

Also tried removing the GPU and using hdmi from motherboard. Same issue

Did you use these instructions to create your Windows 10 installation media?

I flashed it to the newest version and same issue.

What’s interesting is I left it overnight, tried turning it on this morning after resetting the CMOS.

Got to the bios, showing both sticks of RAM in A2 and B2 visible, cpu temp was fine and fans all spinning as expected.

Rebooted with a bootable usb install and back to square one. Stuck on the ROG bios splash screen and can’t press F2 or DEL to get into the actual BIOS.

I used the windows 11 media creation tool from my laptop

Yep I have tried in pretty much all of the rear IO ports and the two front panel ports as well

Slight update it seems when I move my NVME drives to a lower slot on the motherboard, everything works fine so I assume that the port there is screwed?

How many NVME drives do you have? It's safest to have only one connected (the one you want to install Windows on) when you install Windows.
