Hi guys build my first pc from scratch but having problems.

Games running on my old pc are not running on new build. Even on medium and low graphics when recommended is at ultra, and old pc ran them at high.

Examples:
Ghost recon games gpu fans running at max from start crashing at random times or in game actions.

Total warhammer 2 game starts fine, intros fine, menu fine. Start game fine but second I move mouse or select anything in game gpu fans shoot to max speed and crash to desktop or freeze with gpu fans on max speed untill manual restart.

I tried shogun2 to rule out if it was a problem in total wh2 but shogun crashing right after intro ends.

system
Msi x470 gaming plus + latest bios
Gskill aegis ddr4 3000 2x 8gb
Asrock rx590 8gb phantom gaming
Zalman zm700lxii psu
Transcend ssd220 240gb
Sea gate barracuda 1tb Hdd
Windows 10 fresh install and all drivers updated.

games affected
Total war warhammer 1+2
Witcher 3
Total war shogun2
Ghost recon

I tried several fresh installs win10 plus all drivers,

Some post mentioning manual settings in bios
Gen switches auto/manual 2/3
Xmp on/off/manual.

In Adrenalin tried leaving everything on auto, then few posted examples of manual settings that helped the posters. Like underclocking, changed fancurves giving +50 to power setting.

Nothing seems to fix the crashing, any help severely appreciated

Let's start with the RAM.

16GB DIMM DDR4 clocked @ 2133 MHz

Performing below potential (8th percentile) - ensure that a dual+ channel XMP BIOS profile is enabled.

You have to turn on XMP profile in the BIOS to run that RAM at 3000MHz. For a Ryzen it is really important.

After you turned that on run the userbenchmark again.

Is that SSD new? Looks like it's old and not a very good one. Performing below potential (1st percentile) - Ensure that this drive is connected to a SATA 3.0 port with a SATA 3.0 cable

SSD seems to not be running at SATA III.

Hi Nemesia,
First of all sorry for my first posts wall of text and my English,

The SSD is new from box, I bought it a year ago for my old build but never used it. I used userbenchmark befor and it used to be in the 61% area no idea why its this low atm.

As I tried to explain I tried allot of online crash solutions like the xmp, gen switch settings and adrenalin settings. but as none solved my problem I reset them before asking help to make sure its not something I changed causing problems.

Benchmark after xmp 3000
UserBenchmarks: Game 62%, Desk 73%, Work 70%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 - 88.8%
GPU: AMD RX 590 - 61.2%
SSD: Transcend SSD220 240GB - 28.9%
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB - 118.6%
RAM: G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000 C16 2x8GB - 84.3%
MBD: MSI X470 GAMING PLUS
edit .
I just ran transcend scope diagnostic tool on ssd
According to it its sata3 connection certified and current connection is sata3
98% durability and performance test shows no errors

Don't worry we will get there. One thing at a time ;)

The RAM is fixed. It's now running at the good speed and just that will improve the performance on that ryzen.

Your SSD is not running at SATA III. Try plugging it in another SATA port. Try another SATA cable and make sure the SATA cable is not bent too much.

Look in your BIOS for a SATA option. Might be set at 2.0 instead of 3.0.

Did you do all the Windows 10 updates?

Did you install the motherboard chipset drivers after the Windows install? if you did not please download this and install.

Click on system and chipset drivers and download and install. Reboot.

Start with that. :)

So I ran windows update, found one recent update and installed it.
Restart pc then ran your link, it refused to install due to incompatible build.
So I ran the amd uninstaller in safe mode, restart and ran your link and it installed, reinstalled gpu driver as it got uninstalled also. Choose the 20.5.1

On this benchmark after itseems ssd is back also.

UserBenchmarks: Game 62%, Desk 82%, Work 74%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 - 85.7%
GPU: AMD RX 590 - 60.9%
SSD: Transcend SSD220 240GB - 71.4%
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB - 119.4%
RAM: G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000 C16 2x8GB - 84.4%
