I'm getting an error message when trying to boot windows for the first time. Please note I am unable to get to command prompt and do not have a windows disk, but rather the USB. The error is Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem: Insert win cd choose language settings click repair. I cannot do this I keep getting this message after I choose win 64 or win 32. File:\windows\system32\ntoskrn1.exe Status: 0xc0000098 Info: The operating system couldn't be loaded because the kernal is missing or contains errors.

I've got an M.2 Adata 256, a WD 1TB Sata SSD, A 4TB WD Black HDD and a bluray drive. I can see all of these as well as the windows USB stick in my Bios.

Nope, only have the M.2 ssd connected directly to the motherboard, the rest were sata, so I unplugged them , checked in the Bios to confirm and still get the same message.

At first, I tried to install windows with all drives connected, however upon your suggestion I tried to only leave my M.2 ssd connected, as it connects directly to my motherboard. I've never been asked what drive to install to so I'm assuming that it hasn't been installed to any drive yet, but only on the OEM USB drive.

Yes M.2 is detected in the Bios, however when I try to install windows, I get that error message right away, I get a quick flash of the windows logo then this message, so no install, or fix message available yet , tried starting in safe mode in windows boot manager as well as the other options in there debugging etc. keep getting the same message back.

Could you walk me through clearing the CMOS, I'm still a bit new to computer building.
Nevermind, just googled how to do it, I'll try and keep you informed.
Nope, tried this, and received the same error, asked me to select which operating system win 32 or win 64 to install, I select 64 and still get same message, yes I'v tried the 32 before too.
