Hi,

I currently have a rather old system which I am looking to upgrade, I know this will be a huge upgrade just wanted to check that everything is compatible and the best buy/i'm not missing anything stupid. I am on a budget here and its currently at just under £300

AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz Socket AM3+ 14MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor £82.49
Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 £54.64
8GB G.Skill DDR3 PC3-14900 £59.95
Kingston 120GB HyperX 3K SSD 2.5" SATA-III Read = 555MB/s, Write = 510MB/s £69.80
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (120mm) £25.95

Any suggestions for a case at around the £50 mark?

I have a HD6870 which isn't great but I do plan to upgrade at somepoint, aim is to be able to run most games released in the next few years, currently for example I can get Ghosts & AC4 to work but can't run BF4

I have an Antec 650w Nepower PSU and 2x 1TB HDDs for music/movies etc which I plan to use

Thanks in advance!

Seems good to me. Corsair do some nice cases for around £50 in their new Carbide series which will be good for you. As for a new GPU, look at upgrading to something like a GTX 760 or R9 270x.
