New build components

Hi, so I know that this is a bit of a big ask really but I intend building a pc for my son for Christmas, I have built one before but followed a video, components and build guide, which is now too outdated to use.

My problem is I have a budget of around £600, I think I can take a 500 w power unit out my old pc to use, but I really have no idea which components to buy without a guide for what will be best, I know graphics wise a 3-6 gb 1060 geforce card sounds about right but regards to motherboard, processor etc I have no idea what to buy and it would really just be guess work. I have a 1tb hard drive I can recycle too and maybe get a 128 gb ssd as c drive for Windows.

If anybody has any advice or recommendations I would be extremely grateful, like I said I know it's a bit of a timely request

Try to add an ssd into the budget if you can, if not add it later on.
