New build, I would appreciate a review and suggestions.

CPU; Intel - Core i3-8100 3.6GHz
MOBO; Gigabyte Z370 HD3P (rev. 1.0) ATX LGA1151
Storage; Samsung 500GB SSD
RAM; Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3200
Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit

Need a case with a 5.25 bay for an optical drive & a solid PSU

Thanks in advance...

A little bit unbalanced. Unless you're going to upgrade soon, you should either get an H370 motherboard and slower RAM -- the Intels don't drool over fast RAM the way the Ryzens do -- and put the money back into the CPU or a better GPU. Power supply depends on the GPU.

There are lots and lots of cases to choose from, all varying based on your budget, your needs, your wants, and your desired aesthetics. Here's a popular, dependable, "safe" middle-of-the-road suggestion.
