I would appreciate a review on this build;
Intel - Core i3-8100
MSI - B360M PRO-VDH
G.Skill - NT Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Intel - 545s 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Fractal Design - Define R4
SeaSonic - 520W 80+ Bronze

For an office/home theater PC, you could save money on some component. A Pentium CPU, smaller SSD (128/256Gb), and a smaller wattage PSU (300W) would suffice. You could spend the money saved on a HDD and RGB.

DON'T FORGET THE RGB

They cant put everything on list. Should work fine irrespective. Usually the lists contains units tested with the board. If its not tested, doesnt mean it wont work.

The ONE thing I do not wish to hear is..."yea, but it's a tad slow"...if you had your "druthers" would it be be the samsung evo 860 or the intel listed??

On $500? Let's think about this here for a minute.

It is proven, that adding RGB to your PC significantly boost the out-of-the-box thermals, and the Feng Shui of the room by 35,3%.

Not true at all about the thermals, and I'm pretty sure people who are buying PCs for $500 aren't exactly looking for feng shui.

Feng Shui me baby....

It's 35.6% with the new, fancy extra bright RGBs. 😛

RGB is not usually your office necessity, especially at this kind of budget. Not everyone is LTT.
That money can be channeled towards a better part, that can yield revenue.
