Hey there everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster.

I've been contemplating parts and components for awhile now for a completely new build, and I'm just curious if y'all think it's a decent one. I did my best, and hoping it's gonna be as awesome as I think it will be.

FWIW, it will be a gaming PC, with general use.

CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k
GPU: EVGA GTX 580 1.5 GB
PSU: OCZ ZX Modular 1000W
MB: Asus P8P67 Deluxe
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB)
HDD: Western Digital Blue Caviar 320 GB 7200 RPM SATA 6 GB/s
SDD: OCZ Vertex 3 120 GB SATA III
Case: Antec 902 V3
DVD Drive: Some cheap-o Samsung drive. (I have an external BD drive as well)

Accessories

Monitor: ASUS VH238H 23"
Keyboard: Cyborg V5
Mouse: Logitech G9x

Hopefully that's an okay combination? What do you think?

PS
I know some things don't make sense, such as the PSU and probably the CPU, but I'm intending to try and future proof, so that I buy a current top-shelf card as a future mid-shelf card, etc.

Drop the i7, its useful only to people that render stuff in sony vegas, etc.Gaming = i5.
ALso if you aren't going to overclock, get the version without the "k", it will save you some money.
Get a better PSU, Corsair I recommend. The PSU is the lastest thing you should cheap out on, if it fails and its cheap, it could take the MOBO/GPU with it.No one would like that.
With the money you saved by dropping the i7 -> i5 maybe more if you took the non "k" version, get a GTX 590(3 GB) instead of the 580.
