Hi,
I made a new build. Assembled all and it went well. Used it for about an hour. The next day I turned it on and it was fine for about 30 minutes then it shut down. Cannot get it to reboot. I checked the connectors, all seem right. I disconnected the power supply and jumpered the pins suggested on google and the PSU powered up with light and fan. The when I plug it into the mobo all I get is mobo lights. No PSU fan, case fan, only mobo lights (led's)
can anyone give me a suggestion on how to tackle this. I do not have a lot of experience. Following is my build list.

CPU: Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: NZXT - Kraken X52 Rev 2 73.11 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus - TUF Z390-PLUS GAMING (WI-FI) ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
Storage: Samsung - 970 Evo 500 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
Video Card: Gigabyte - GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB GAMING OC Video Card
Case: Corsair - Carbide Series 275R (Black w/Tempered Glass) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Thermaltake - Smart Pro RGB 750 W 80+

Power it up without the CPU or cooler, and then try and clear the CMOS using the CMOS jumper. Unplug everything and try and boot again.

This worked for me a while back when I had a similar issue with a new build.
Hope this helps :)

EDIT: Grammar :p

Thanks for writing. I will try that. Actually the computer and my son are in Japan. He is in the US Air Force there. He is the one with the problem. I have built a few computers and was helping him with this. It appears there is a probably short somewhere. He still has the old computer so I suggested he connect the old PSU 24 and 8 pin headers and try a boot. Just long enough to see it if stays on in an attempt to eliminate the PSU. If that doesnt work I will have him pull the cpu and cooler and give it a try. If that doesnt work ill have him pull the mobo and set it out of the case and try it.
