New Build for $1000

Looking to build my PC since the old one is really maxed out, it's been quite a few years since I try to build one from scratch. Usage: movies, gaming, music, web surfing, then work.

The spec I'm thinking of is below, want to know if all the parts will be compatible or not, if there's anything missing, and if there's better choice. Thanks advance for the help. I've already has monitor (ASUS VS248H-P 1920x1080), and will install Win7 myself.

For gaming and your uses, there's no way you'll come remotely close to using 32GB of RAM. Drop that to 8GB. There's no point in pairing a 2500K with a Z77 motherboard as you lose the board's intended functionality. That SSD is not a good choice, there's better ones you could go with, and I'd actually suggest dropping the SSD in favor of a better GPU. I like the C70 but the NZXT Phantom 410 is a good choice if you like the gunmetal color.

Slightly different take. If OP doesn't need operating system, squeeze in SSD, better GPU, and since price went up on ASRock Extreme4, prefer the Gigabyte board, now price difference isn't as great.

But why B75? It has outdated ports that you will never use. It's meant for business machines with legacy hardware, not for gaming. And why that case? I think there's better ones I would go with.

You're right. I received two invoices and one is $135.xx and one is $169.99, so it still is $299.99, just how they billed it. $20 rebate still counts though. So the total is actually $1103.53-$55=$1048.53.

So it's a bit higher due to larger memory and ssd. I'm ok with that.
