Something like this should setup you up decently if paired with something like an RX 6800 or RTX 4070 in the future. Definitely feel free to mix and match with any other suggestions, its just a base config.

if you can hang on to your current system AMD are doing some ( latest gamer meld video ) crazy interesting with there APU's and halo version of strix point is set to ( not crush ) destroy Intels intergraded graphics ..

Thanks for update I'm still in two minds what to do maybe next year Prices will come down a little I really don't want to spend any more than £1200 on the full system really. If I can get a gpu with it for that price it would nice. I have an xbox series x to game with anyways
To be honest with you if you cant afford it stick with console gaming PC building isnt exactly cheap ( if done properly and i dont mean 13900k and a 4090 ) cheaping out on components to save money more often than not leads to problems later on ..
if you want to get into pc building / gaming i recommend spending $$$$ on something like a 7600 non x cpu a b650 mobo a 6800xt arc 770 gpu decent 850w psu 280mm aio or a decent noctua nh u12a air cooler some ddr5 ram cl30 6000 and a 980pro 1tb ( at the least ) m.2 ssd decent mesh ish case for air flow ..
the bonus of going AM5 is socket life the 6700xt 6800xt or intel arc 770 have acceptable Vram my reasoning with this set up is every thing is up gradable at some point want better graphics upgrade your gpu need more hdd space simple 850w is semi decent for most mid to lower tier cards and will be for some time im about to slap a noctua nh12a on my 7800x3d to see how it performs for a rebuild of my main !!so the nh 12a should cool a 7600 non x no issues
