Hi guys! I am putting together a system for a friend.. As the title says it will be capable of 1440p..so i want your opinions on it whether i should change something or not..
Cpu:
Intel i5 7600k
Mobo:
Asus z270 prime-A
Ram
Corsair Lpx 8gb 2400mhz
Cooler
Corsair h60i
Case
Thermaltake X9
Gpu
Asus strix gtx1070 (msi 1070 maybe)
Psu
Corsair cfm 750 watt semi-modular
Monitor is a asus PB-277Q 75hz.
He will not be overclocking it now but a few months later maybe when he has a better cooler.
A bit tight on the budget.that's why the ram is 8 gb will upgrade to 16 gb next month
And you guys know the rest...thank you in advance for co-operation..

Regards
The Black Falcon

well, with some tweaks (mostly in a $100 cheaper case, air cooler and cheaper PSU and Mobo) I was able to up you to 16 GB of RAM (DDR4-3000), and an i7-7700K insteads of the i5. I even threw in a 1440p monitor, a keyboarda nd mouse with a blue glow to match the case, and a copy of win 10.

this said, you might want to wait a week, as for about the same price, you could get an 8-core/16 thread AMD 1700 CPU and mobo, which promises to be stronger than the 7700.
I'd see if you can save some money with a Gigabyte or AS Rock motherboard instead of ASUS, replace the H60i with air cooling - a Deepcool GAMMAXX 400 will be plenty and much cheaper, and lower the PSU to a 550-650W model. should save enough to update to 16 GB

I would have used a gigabyte or asrock but he had i had issues with those ones before so i opted for the ASUS..and yeah the psu is a bit higher i was also wondering if I should lower it or not..about the air cooling i will look around a bit then choose it..i shall keep ur suggestion in mind

A 650 watt psu should do fine and would provide enough power even if you want to go on a sli config. i recommend you watching this video to choose the right power supply for your money and needs.

Storage is already done with a crucial 525 gb ssd and a 1 tb Seagate HDD.I didn't post it because it didn't seem to play much part in gaming besides loading times and storage etc.and budget is 1450$..and yes i shall change the power supply i already recommended a 500 watt for him but since he was a newbie in this field. So he wamted to be on safe side and said: I'll just get a 700 watt..so i didn't argie with him much...besides this build eats around 350 or something watts so this power supply is overkill for it..

checkout the case... pretty awesome isn't it? though a bit pricy but with great airflow and cable management with rgb lighting (as the rest of the build)

Oh i totally forgot about ryzen..guess i should wait a while and see how they perform after release...then will put it together...and yeah the nzxt 820 is a good mention..and jarmund u forgot about the 1440p monitor in the budget when u minus that from the 1400$ then the budget comes to 1150 or something maybe

close one, just $15 above budget ($1450), not a deal breaker right?
So the monitor is a 165Hz 1440p 23.8 inch screen with G-sync support and a response time of 1 milisecond. perfect for any game scenario i could think of.

oh and i wouldn't overclock that i5 too high (say like 5ghz) but this cooler should manage a 4.5ghz OC with no problem if given good airflow

Aaaand speaking about Ryzen....
