please suggest best and balanced configuration from these options or you can suggest your own option also.

I have some questions
1. is i7-3770k preferred over i5-3570k for cad and modeling work and justify the price increase
2. if not overclocking then can I go for non-K version of these cpus and take full advantage of vt-d technology offered
3. dual channel ram or quad channel ram
4. if not overclocking then can cpu cooler be avoided
5. is 750 watt power supply enough
6. if onboard sound can be used to avoid external sound card purchase
7. does more ram (16 GB instead of 8 GB) help in cad, modeling, animation or 3d gaming

Hey there! . I am no professional but I can help you out on a few of your questions.

- Hyper-Threading technology is used to increase performance at multi-threaded tasks. The simplest multi-threaded situation is a multi-tasking user running several programs simultaneously, but there are other tasks that take advantage of Hyper-Threading like multimedia operations (like transcoding, rendering, etc.) and Web surfing (loading different elements like Flash content and images simultaneously).

The quick explanation is that all Core i7 CPUs use Hyper-Threading, so a six-core CPU can handle 12 streams, a four core handles eight streams, and a dual-core handles four streams. Core i5 uses Hyper-Threading to make a dual-core CPU act like a four-core one, but if you have a Core i5 processor with four true cores, it won't have Hyper-Threading.

In your case the i7 3770K is the best pick. Not by chance is it the same processor I am getting to render with :)

- If you are NOT going to overclock your CPU than you are indeed better off with the i7 3770(without the K).
- 750 Watt power supply is MORE than enough if you are not going to overclock.
- onboard sound CAN be used :) You do not have to purchase an external sound card UNLESS you are going to need special plugs for external Sound Monitors (meaning, speakers).
- more RAM does help allot when modeling/rendering/animation/3d gaming. For realtime rendering and modeling you want to have atleast 8GB DDR3 ram (pick 16).

thanks a lot for the details
thank you very much

but please also suggest the configuration

motherboard alternative

what about asrock z77 extreme4/extreme6 (with vt-d support) compared to asus p8z77-v (not sure about vt-d support)?

for animation and stuff like that i7 would be prefered with its technology and hyper threading!also its very enough good for games!
as a graphics card i would recommend you to go for one gtx 670!very powerful card!and save money by getting 1tb disk and one ssd of 120gb probably one samsung 840 series!
