My last build is 6 years old, So I'm doing a new build. I have mapped out two different builds- both come out the same price so I can choose either one. The question is, which one would be better, and to those in the know, anything you would change? I'm open to all suggestions:

I will be using this for FSX with heavy add ons (I play once a week), Workstation (Protools, Ableton, Music recording and editing) and for general daily use.

The main question lies in the CPU choice as the 4790k is better in single core performance which FSX utilizes, but the 6700k is future proof in a sense that the z170 mobo has usb 3.1 and pcie ssd m.2 option as well as the new norm of ddr4 memory. But for once a week playing FSX, is it worth going to an end of life cpu choice as a tradeoff? I will also be overclocking both cpu's. I won't be updating this pc for another 5 years or so.
