Hey guys, I told my friend I'd put together a decent gaming computer he's looking to build and he has the motherboard and processor already. The graphics card and power supply are things he was looking at and he wanted to know if there were any good 6GB of RAM he could get and wasn't sure on what kind of case would be good. His main concern was whether or not the components would work together and if the power supply was large enough. Any help would be appreciated!

Has::

CPU: i5 2500k processor

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3

CD Drive: Asus 24x Internal DVD±RW

Looking at::

Power Supply: Rosewill Xtreme Series RX850-S-B 850W

Graphics Card: HIS IceQ X Turbo X H695QNX2G2M Radeon HD 6950

Ok those all look fine, what about RAM, any suggestions? Also, forgot the motherboard has four RAM slots so i guess 8gb is needed unless someone knows for sure performance wouldn't take a hit from an uneven 6gb

Well first off, the psu that gkay recommended is great. The video card is good (any 6950, just look for cheapest one with highest clock speed), and for a case, I would very highly recommend the NZXT GAMMA classic series. I have the case, it is big, wonderful, and looks very nice, and is made just as well, plus, its only $35. And last, the 2500k doesn't support tri-channel ram, so dont do 6gb, do either 4 or 8. If you aren't afraid of spending a bit of money, this is great http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231353
but if you want something that is a good price for good performance, this is what I suggest: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220539 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428 also, the mother board is good.

Well, I recommend either the Cooler Master V6GT (I have this, it works wonderfully, but its a bit overkill) But, for your purposes, I think the Hyper 212 Plus will be just fine. Its much cheaper, and works nearly just as well. Just be warned, that both of these coolers, and many others like it, are very big! So, make sure you measure, and do your research!
