Hey community,
my current system did a good job for the last years and it's time to replace it (i7 3770K / 32 gig memory / GTX 980 Ti).
I'm happy with gaming for 1080p but I feel the bottleneck at my daily work
I'm working as a professional photographer, so I spend much time in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One Pro and sometimes in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
My budget: 2500-3000 EUR / 3000-3500 USD (just for the hardware components and the case. Monitor has an additional budget, mouse and keyboard will be used furthermore)
So, my priority is:
Work 70% / Gaming 30%
Definitely used components:
NVIDIA RTX 3090 (because of the amount of video memory for my work)
At least 64 gig of memory (also for my work).
Currently I'm not sure if I should go with Intel or AMD.
And if Intel, should I use the new i9 10900K (more cores and threads) or "just" the i9 9900K.
Or does it make more sense to use one of the current AMDs?
I don't need any RGB flashing lightning atomic buster components. The system just has to deliver power and don't has to look like a christmas tree and will be build in a minimalistic black big tower case.
The mainboard should have enough (future proof) features so far.
Because this beast isn't used just for work, It should have enough power for gaming with 4K and 120 or 144hz for games like CoD, Battlefield.
Thanks for any hint and tip and please excuse my bad English. ;-)
Stay healthy!
Kisses
Tom
