I went through a check list some one posted here for trouble shooting, and I have failed to get my new build to Post.
It will double boot and the fans run and the rgb lights are on, but nothing else
I get the Qcode of 00
I installed a PC speaker, and get NO beeps
I get no video(tried with and without the GTX1060)
no keyboard or mouse
I reseated the CPU
tried different ram configs, one stick, two sticks, different slots......
tried a different CPU cable
It behaves the same with CPU cable plugged in or NOT
tried with and without the SDD pluged in
tried with the reset switch unplugged, incase it was shorting
tried updating the bios with a USB Flash drive (renamed to M10H.CAP) tried the lastest two versions for that Mobo, both attempts failed (the switch would flash about three times then go solid)
ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC)
ASUS ROG GeForce GTX 1060
CORSAIR HXi Series HX1000i
Intel Core i7-8700K
SAMSUNG 860 EVO
G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C14D-16GTZR
I don't know if I am missing something, or if I have a bad Mobo or CPU? Not sure how to tell the difference really.
thanks in advance for any help
