Hello there i got a asus sabertooth z87 and I just need help with some parts for it, such as RAM, Graphics Card, and CPU..

Initially i thought about getting:

- Intel i3 4130 3.4GHz 3MB ( since it's the cheapest out here and it's a gaming pc and someone told me i3 should do fine)

- GeIL PC3-12800 1600Mhz 16GB Dragon RAM CL11 (2X8GB) DDR3 OR Corsair Vengeance Blue CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10B 16GB 2X8GB DDR3-1600 CL10 1.5V Dual Channel Memory Kit

- for the Graphics i got a geforce 9600 gso 580m 1.5gb gddr2 (the Far Cry 2 edition) and then i might upgadr to the MSI GeForce GTX 650 TI Boost OC 2GB DDR5 if i'm unhappy with the results

It's my first build so i'm a bit clueless about what makes parts differ so much
Help me out guys 😀

If you have a Z87 SABERTOOTH then you are planning a high-er end build. What is your budget?

go with corsair vengeance LP 2x4s (you dont need 2x8s for most games unless bf4, where then their requirements for 64 player maps stated 16 Gigs of RAM)
I would suggest instead of the 650 TI (if its the 2GB of Ram which is around $200) to get the 7950 will perform better.

My budget i would say it's around 700$ to 1000$ sum like that (it's 750€ in here more or less)

Yes but the geforce 9600 1.5gb i can get for around 65$ i would prefer a more recent one whithout completely going over my budget and the 16GB will cost around 130$ on NCIX website

I think that board is way out of your budget, no offense but it's not necessary. Go with one of the cheaper models, even the z87 pro is 30 bucks cheaper. That board is overkill for ya buddy

I wouldn't say it's a scam but you do pay more for looks and it does look cool

Yea I debated getting the z87 pro because of the wifi and blue tooth but I went with the Sabertooth only because I liked the way it looked inside my case. Purely a decision based on aesthetics. If I were on a budget then I would have went with one of the other z87 models or something different all together. It looks awesome and I guess time will tell how it holds up

At least sabertooth has the 5 year warranty so that is also a plus for it but, i would still say to get a different board as most motherboards i have(from Asus, GB, and even intel(they use ECS pretty much) have lasted for quite the time.

I've looked into the parts and they change a bit

still the sabertooth z87
then gtx 760 (future sli)
i5 4670k
Corsair vengeance 2x4gb 1600MHZ
CoolerMaster Seidon 120M cpu cooler
and i don't recall the psu but it's 750w

no.

get a z87x-d3h instead and get a gtx 770 instead of the 760. at least you are spending money towards something useful rather than something purely useless

get a proper heatsink like a noctua d14 or any other large tower heatsink. if you want liquid, the h220 is the only thing worth buying
