Hey just planning on a new build trying to keep it budgeted this time. Hey just need some checking here. Basically i want a computer that will play blu-ray dvds, have good sound quality, and good picture quality. The computer is going to be hooked up to a 50" Plasma in my house to play blu-ray dvds and other fun stuff.

Some people say that the built in GPU on the mobo is good enough but is it really?

The onboard video should be fine for just watching movies, if you will do any gaming or anything else then you need something else. A high powered GPU is only necessary if you are rendering images like in games, but the images you will be displaying are already on the Blu-ray disks.
