Hey All

here is a build I'm putting together and would like any input. No need for OS, Keyboard, mouse etc
just these parts, primarily for gaming and streaming. These are NZ prices.

You really want an ssd?

Something that i think will be good enough,

CPU: Intel Core i3-4160 3.6GHz Dual-Core Processor ($163.29 @ PB Technologies)
Motherboard: ASRock H97 PERFORMANCE ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($149.99 @ Mighty Ape)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($126.00 @ 1stWave Technologies)

Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 270 2GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($262.00 @ Wiseguys)
Case: Antec GX500 ILLUSION ATX Mid Tower Case ($73.00 @ 1stWave Technologies)...
For gaming, get cheaper mobo based on H97 chipset since 4690 is not overclockable. In fact, the CPU can be 4460, no need to go for 4690.

Put the money difference into a better graphics card, 750Ti is more like a baseline today than a true gaming card. You need at least radeon 270X, preferably 280 or 290. On Nvidia part, get at least 760, preferably 770 or 970.

PSU is not a quality model. Replace it with Seasonic or XFX 650W.

BTW, you are missing RAM in your build. You will need at least 2x4 GB, 1600MHz, CL9 DDR3 memory.

Here is a better one, but it still lacks RAM, just as yours. Hope you have it, or expect additional costs.

The i3 should be fast enough to keep up with that gpu.
That gpu is a thread about here,

Also ram in it.
