Hey everyone,

This is my first time building a computer and i'd like some help choosing a build for it. I'd like a computer that is extremely fast and can be used for gaming on decent to high settings. Stuff like BF3, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, etc. I like hd graphics so a good video card is a must as well. My budget is about $1000 but some more could be added if its really worth it. If it helps any, i live in the U.S. and next week is black friday so there will be a lot of deals on computer parts if i look around so you could name some alternative pieces that might be a bit more expensive normally. I appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks!

Rick

You might be able to get a 7970; Gigabyte, MSI, Sapphire, and Asus are the brands I'd pick.

Solution
They're uncommon, but not necessarily close to extinction. You'll never actually know when you might need one or a few; There's also more room to breathe, more expansion slots and room to upgrade.

If only Newegg gave free shipping for them, they would be about the same price as the micro ones.
