Hey,

So I have been away from the PC world for a while now. Built my last PC about 6 or 7 years ago. I've recently decided to build a completely new PC from scratch. Been forced to game on school laptop.

Below I attached my cart. Just wondering how this build looks. Is there anywhere I could save money? Any recommendations? This build is a few hundred over my budget. Thanks.

Hi. Check out this list:

For one, I wouldn't use PNY GPUs as they are not the best quality. That ASUS is pretty good. The more fans, the cooler it can run, and also the quieter. It means you have more fans that don't have to work as hard as say one or two fans.

Honestly though, they all use the same chip..the 1080 Ti from NVIDIA and should devliver similar results across the board. The difference is mainly aestheitcs, number of fans, and slightly higher boost clocks (making the card faster to render graphics). To the average user, it isn't really a big deal since many users don't have a 4K monitor yet.
It works, but the GPU is highly overpriced. GTX 1080s should not go for more than $550-600. You could get a GTX 1080 Ti for just $20 more...which means 30% performance gains! However, I see you are somewhat looking for an RGB theme. If you DO plan on overclocking, do NOT get the Hyper 212. If you don't plan on changing the base clock or anything, and you will keep it at stock, then it is ok. I can assume you want Amazon's prime benefits. I don't blame you.

Give me a second, I will try to generate maybe a better list for a better value.

So here we go, this is not just including Amazon, but other retailers for the best price possible. To get the 1080 Ti to fit, you may have to remove drive bays.

I really appreciate the feedback!

So I admittedly am confused with all the different gtx1080. What is the best? lol. I'm essentially looking for the best bang for my buck. Im looking for performance over aesthetic, but i don't want a cheaply built one. It doesn't have to necessarily be from amazon. Though is prices are similar id get it off there.

For example, is this a good deal:

http://www.microcenter.com/product/478276/GeForce_GTX_1080_Ti_STRIX_ROG_Overclocked_11GB_GDDR5X_GAMING_Video_Card

or is this better (assuming legit site)
