Hi, people I am new to the forum.
I built my last pc back in 2006, then in 09 I thought after being a pc person forever I would switch to mac and bought a new 09 IMac. From the time I plugged it in, I hated it. I guess if I only ever used mac I would have liked it but from switching from pc to mac it sucked. IMac just felt to me like a box with a screen, I missed not really being able to upgrade hardware easily and fixing my own problems if I had any.
Finally, I sold the Mac last week (THANK GOD) and now I am building me a new pc. I am not a pc gamer I will mostly use my pc for video and photo storage and editing. I want to give you guys a list of hardware I am thinking using and hopefully I can get some input on what you think, or what you would change…

Thanks.

Love the Graphite 600.

The AMD 990FX is a good choice, as is the 1055T.

That is a really slow HD to use for your primary if you can go with an SSD, Newegg has a bunch of specials on them right now.

If you're going AMD and 8GB of RAM, do not use Win 7 32-bit, you must get 64-bit.

Thank you for the reply. The 32 bit was my error I ment 64 bit. I like your idea of a SSD, then just used a HD for storage.

If video editing is your thing...then a Z68 board would do you just fine...and you don't need to buy a vid card with that set up either. Just use the on die HD3000 graphics and Intel Quick Sync Video . It tears it up in regards to video editing.
