new build here need extreme help!

So Im building my first pc and one thing I dont have clear is what will be better for high end gaming? (1080p one monitor)
First:
MSI H81M-P33
I5 4460
GTX 970 ACX

Or:

MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
I5 4590
R9 280X

With the far cry 4 free game now I'm in a hurry building my first gaming pc Please explain what build would br better! Thanks alot!

First one is better, because it has a more powerful GPU.

2nd one would be better for doing other stuff + gaming.
