Hi,

I just performed my first solo build. Ryzen 1950x and with a Kraken x62 aio. Everything went well, except my CPU is registering very high temps through the Asus BIOS. It starts at 60 degrees C, then it lowers every second until it reaches 53, then it goes up until 63, then lowers again. It has a fluctuant kind of behaviour. It keeps going up after a while.

Details: I believe the cooler is well positioned, pea sized ceramique 2 thermal paste, pump seems functioning and liquid is flowing (soundwise at least).

Help appreciated!!!

If their is another PC or laptop you could download the bios to to update the motherboard I would do it if possible. You don't have to have the OS loaded to do this. Once you have the new bios, simply restart plug in the usb drive containing the updated bios and apply.

Could be air trapped in the cooler, i've never experienced that though. Not sure how you would get the air bubble out if thats the case, good luck.

Thanks Dashman!
I just checked and there's a new BIOS version, I shall download it and install once I get home. I can't install any software yet because I haven't been able to install an OS. The PC turns off midprocess, I'm guessing because of it overheating.

I also read there could be air trapped in the kraken x62, though I don't know very well how to get rid of it.
