UPDATE LIST: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/43CGvW
Will be buying the 3070 when it comes out.

This is the list i threw together. How did i do? Anything i should upgrade or maybe should take a different route? Will mainly be used for gaming and web browsing. Wanting to take advantage of my 1440 144hz monitor. I play desinty2 and Cod. Right now i get around 70-75 fps on D2 highest settings and around 60fps on Cod, same settings although the FPS is very unstable and fluctuates alot.

Upgrading from an I7 6700 and a 1070, 16gb Ram. Would this list be a decent upgrade?

Still very undecided on the fans and i realize that the 6 pack for $45 is probably not the best choice. If someone knows of a good deal on some RGB fans that would be much appreciated.

Something like this is what I would do. I took out the wifi card because the motherboard came with one.

Yeah that should be a decent upgrade, although, you should get a b550 or x570 motherboard paired with a ryzen cpu so you can utilize the PCIe Gen 4. Although i think intel is still fine since nvidia benchmarked their rtx 3080 in doom using an intel processor and no intel motherboard supports PCIe Gen 4 atm. And btw, why are you spending so much on rgb fans?

Thanks for the tip. I will have to do more research on AMD because i am not very familiar with their products, as to why i went with Intel.

As far as the fans, probably because im a tard. I really want RGB fans, can you recommend some that dont cost an arm and a leg. Is that 6 pack worth it or would they be junk? The reviews seem positive. Also how many fans would i need?

That case actually comes with 4 argb fans so you don't need to buy anymore fans. Also why don't you just buy the Wi-Fi version of that motherboard instead of buying a PCIe Wi-Fi adapter?

I would drop all the fans and get a 10700k instead. No amout of cooling is worth that step up in performance. Other than that the build looks solid. Good luck with getting the 3070 (not sarcasm)
Yes, i know getting a 3070 will be next to impossible judging by how the 3080 launch just went. Sorry im a little confused, you mean no fans because the case comes with 4 fans? This would be sufficient?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what helper800 meant, keep the 4 stock fans (3 front intake, 1 exhaust at the back), get rid of the other fans, get the 10700k, z490 motherboard and a good AIO liquid cooler.

Thank you for the clarification! After reading some reviews, which i dont know why i hadnt last night, some peopel are saying that case has poor airflow, should i possibly consider a different case, i really like this one...

Nah, I've actually built a pc with that case, it's ok to work with and the airflow and temps are normal it has good aesthetics aswell

Thanks again. I ditched the fans and went with the i7 and the z490 with wifi. Around the same price. Much appreciated. Is the cooler i have picked out doable or do you highly suggest i go liquid?
