hey guys, appreciate this kind of question comes up a lot on here but I'm really at my wits' end. first time builder here, and managed to build everything and connect everything. when i connect the power cable and turn on the PC, my motherboard lights up with a static orange light (which i hear is standard on this mobo to show it's working), RGB on my RAM starts, and fans start moving but when I connect to a display, no output shows up so I'm assuming BIOS is not loading up.

CPU: AMD Ryzen™ 5 5600
CPU cooler: stock AMD cooler
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B550-M A WIFI II
Ram: 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair DDR4 Vengeance RGB PRO Black
SSD/HDD: 240GB Kingston A400, 2.5" SSD, SATA III - 6Gb/s, 1TB Seagate BarraCuda ST1000DM010, 3.5" HDD, SATA III - 6Gb/s
GPU: ASUS Radeon RX 6600 DUAL 8GB GDDR6 Ray-Tracing Graphics Card
PSU: Corsair VS550 (temporary, about 3 years old)
Chassis: Thermaltake Versa H18
OS: none - haven't managed to load BIOS
Monitor: 27" iiyama G2730HSU-B1 Black Hawk

things I've tried so far:-
1) reseated GPU, RAM, CPU
2) tightened any loose cable connections to the PSU
3) repeatedly pressed F2 and del to load BIOS
4) changed display between hdmi & display port on graphics card (no integrated graphics on this CPU)

I've checked online and it *seems* that my mobo should support the CPU so I don't think I need to flash BIOS but who knows, so I don't know where else to look for what could be wrong. Help!

Solution
you will need to verify for sure if this system is actually outputting any data to the display.

connect to another monitor, HDMI TV, etc
and see if you still get no image at all.
