Build Advice New build, looking for second opinion

Hello, I'm still a complete amateur when it comes to building PCs so I want to double check whether or not I messed up somewhere, or if there's anything I could/should be doing better.

The goals here are optimal performance for competitive games mainly(CS2/Valorant/COD etc.) as well as being able to run new high end games on max(or near max) settings easily while also being reasonably future-proof as I don't intend to upgrade again too soon if I can avoid it(for reference the last time I changed PCs was in 2016 lol)

The budget I'm working with is 3600-3700€, and I'm from Romania, planning on pulling the trigger and ordering the parts sometime within the next month. So far this is what I got, did I cook or did I get cooked?

Thanks in advance bros🙏

Probably wouldn't go for a 1080p monitor and 4090, even a 360hz.

Competitive settings don't require a lot of GPU and the low settings would kind of go wasted with a 4090. It is the CPU that really gets you the high FPS, the GPU gets you graphical fidelity.

A second screen might be worth it for non FPS game titles if you want to stick with the 4090. Or a compromise with a 1440p OLED:

Less refresh rate, but the pixel response time is basically 0.

One could make an argument for the 7700X3D for high FPS gaming. Slightly underperforms the 13700k, but offers a CPU socket that will last a few generations. 14700K is about to come out, and that would be another option if it stays around 400 Euro.

If you want to stick with Intel, probably want a better board that lets you keep the CPU boosted as long as possible.

Minor changes. Good CPU cooler choice, can't fault picking the cheapest 4090. Better motherboard.

Swapped the memory for something a little cheaper and also got a NVMe SSD with DRAM cache which should make it a little faster.

Swapped the power supply, though this is minor, I have heard the Corsair RMe fan can be a bit annoying.

Chassis is alright.

@Ephexer you want a locked i7 for a B760 board. There's many ways to go with your budget but for the games you intend on playing I would do something like this.

Check this site for lower prices on PC components.

Your build is fine and compatible.
Any suggested changes would only be preferences.

If your time frame is a month ahead, it might pay to see what the 14th gen announcements bring.
I would expect the top dog 14900K to bring top dollar and an early adopter premium.
But I might expect the 14600K or 14700K to bring better single thread performance at only a small price premium.

Appreciate all the suggestions! I'll take some time to consider my options here and depending on how soon I can go ahead and order the parts I might look into the 14700k as well, though it's pretty doubtful I end up going for that one

the 7800X3D is the fastest cpu for gaming. for high FPS games, its better to go with the gaming cpu king.

the 4090 is complete overkill. the 4080 is more than enough.

OLED panel 240hz and 0.1ms response time

case has a digital readout in the front for cpu/gpu temps or clocks. front panel type C.

PSU with 16 pin connector.

Minimalist with no RGB.
