Question new build mobo not recognising gpu

HELP,!I am building a new computer, it's mobo- gigabyte z390 aorus master
Cpu-Intel i8700k
Gpu- gigabyte rtx 2060 gaming Oc pro6g
Evga 750 watt gold
Samsung970 evo m.2 mvme nand ssd 500gb
Samsung 970 evo nand mvme m.2ssd 250 Gb
Updated the bios on mobo .
The mobo doesn't acknowledge the gpu before or after bios update
Haven't even installed windows 10 yet.
Tried gpu in 2 different slots, no go .....Any ideas, help would be greatly appreciated

Jusst to throww out an Update -windows won't install updates cause it doesn't have a driver for an Internet connection. .meaning no Internet, no updates ###@@#/.what to do now??? Anyone... anyone ,...Bueller....

Connect your display to the motherboard using the Intel iGPU.
Install Windows.
After Windows is done with drivers and updates, power off, turn off PSU, disconnect power cord, press the power button several times to discharge capacitors then install the RTX 2060.
Make sure that the GPU is properly seated and connect the PCIe power cable from the PSU.
Connect power cord, turn on PSU and power your PC.
If still does not work try the 2nd PCIe slot.
Double check your display cable.
