Hello,

Posting this for a mate who encountered problems with a new build he just finished building this week.

The problem he encountered is that when trying to start up, he gets the monitor no signal detected and the PC just doesn't start up. If he forces it to shut down and then start it back up, it turns on, then restarts itself 2 times and after that it works just fine. It runs stable and didn't encounter any issues with it while it up and running. He tried to take out the GPU and plug in the monitor in to the motherboard, but the error still occured.

Here's the part list from pcpartpicker that he's got in his rig in case that can help in any way:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Team Xtreem 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2666 Memory
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair RM 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Hope you can help us find a solution, thanks.

Ok thanks, will check bios and update if necessary and come back with results.

Edit: Didn't help, updated to 1504 but still took multiple restart to start up.

CPU isn't overclocked, running at 4 ghz just as it came, and he is using the XMP profile.

Thinking it could be a faulty motherboard or PSU, but everything seems to be running just fine when it boots up after all, really confusing.
