New build, need criticism!

This is my current new build, never built a pc before, the current build price is $1660, my full list is costing me near about 2089 because im buying a keyboard and headset extra fans etc. Do you think that this is a good build for gaming? I will also be using it to do video editing and photo editing etc, but primarly gaming. was also unsure where to place the radiator and if i would even need extra fans on the bottom of the case or not.
Also, i was thinking of getting a GTX 680 2gb and also a 850 watt power supply instead of a 750w and GTX 670, i mean if im building it right now, i should be spending more on it right now yes?

I'd suggest getting a NH-D14 instead of the H100; cheaper, performs better, less risky, quieter.

Very little difference between 670-680, and I would also be looking at some of AMD's offerings too.

750W is about right for 2x670 or 2x7970. You would be wanting 850W for 2x680 or 2x7970 GHz.

Also, you shouldn't need extra fans. With only one GPU it will run pretty cool.

Get a Vertex4 or SSD 830 instead of the Sandisk one.

Get a Z77 Extreme4 instead. There's very little difference between them.

Much of this is true except what i crossed out above:

for using the AsRock mono, they tend to be cheaper for a reason, you could get an Asus/Intel mobo for a similar price/performance but a bit higher quality.

The evga gpu is kind of iffy, the cooling isn't very good and you have to pay a premium price for that brand name... Get something like an asus (they have the best coolers w/DCUII) or Zotac (being the fastest), and it might even be cheaper.

Get the extra fans, they will decrease temps and if you upgrade in the future you will be able to handle that, also they might lower the db output though not at the bottom of the case.

Onto answering a couple questions answered: This build is fine for gaming you may find lower fps if you run multiple screens with that GPU (just as a heads up). It should be able to play most game @ Highest/High settings today. It may be a bit slower for video editing but it will get the job done.

Im defiantly getting a 680, and im also grabbing that 850w power supply as i have the money, at the moment i am thinking of one 680 but eventually 2. I think i'll grab the extra fans, it will help decrease tempreture all it does it makes more noise right haha i agree that EVGA is very priced for the label, ill look at some others, what would you recomend?

I wouldn't recommend the 680, as it's very little performance difference for a very large price difference. If going multi-monitor or 1440p then I suggest a 7970, maybe GHz.

The ASRock mobos are fine, and most of what you are paying for with ASUS/Intel mobos is brand name. I've had an asus board fail before. You could get the GA-Z77X-D3H for much the same price though.

With a single GPU heat will not be a problem, especially with a massive cooler like the NH-D14. The extra ~$20 for two fans would be better spent on a GPU with a better cooler. I missed the EVGA bit.

If you don't plan to SLI/CF, then a 600W is more than enough, and a 550W should be fine.

Im really not sure. Put it this way, i think i may eventually go into 3 screens. But i will be buying a second screen just because i like having 2 screens. Both Gigabyte and Sapphire are good brands. I'd recommend the Gigabyte, as I can't stomach the thought of spending another ~$160 for a slightly better cooler and lower stock clock.

If you are going for 3 screens get CrossFire 7970 GHz editions they should be able to handle that, though you will need a better PSU those things are monsters.
If you are gaming on 1 screen the 4gb 670 is fine or you could get a single 7950 for similar performance and a better price.

Also w/brand recommendation Asus has DCUII which is the quietest and coolest were as Zotac has the fastest (but the hottest) I would recommend the Asus models anytime I love mine. Also there isn't much price difference if you are going w/nvidia never get EVGA they have a premium price, for faster clock speed (which you can achieve on your own) and crappy fans (pls don't make this a flame war )

I wouldn't recommend that - a 7970, especially GHz Edition, will drastically outperform it for less. 4GB vs 3GB only matters when using very high resolutions and large texture packs. The extra memory bandwidth on a Tahiti chip will help, especially if you turn up the AA.

Throughout this thread, I find myself agreeing with Someone Somewhere.
Since you will be doing video and photo editing, I would strongly suggest an AMD GPU. The nVidia Kepler cards have crippled compute performance, and may not do nearly as well even as lesser AMD cards they otherwise outperform (e.g. in games).
