This is my first build and I thought I did pretty good. I bought all the parts and successfully installed them all and had my new gaming rig running great! When a friend came over a week later the computer was still running fine. When he looked in he saw that I had placed my 2 sticks of 4gb corsair XMS3 ram Right next to each other on the mobo. He said I was supposed to skip a spot and that I had installed it wrong. I let him switch one of the sticks a spot over. Ever since (at first in-game only and more recently whenever) I have been freezing every 30-90 minutes. (each freeze lasts about 30-90 seconds with sound loop). After about a week of me just dealing with it my computer wouldn't even start. I would get to the windows Welcome screen and then it would freeze and wouldn't come back. So then I tried putting the ram back into the original spot where I could finally get into windows. Nevertheless the old freezing was back and as annoying as ever. I don't know what to do, and I would like some help.

Sorry for bad English and grammar

Sounds like the ram wouldn't run in dual channel reason they had them paired up so you need to pull 1 stick out and run your system if all runs well you found the bad stick of ram if system still screws up take the 2nd stick out and replace with the one you pulled and re run tests ...
