hello, i m new to the forums and this is my first build. i went out and bought my components :
mobo : asrock 960gm-gs3 FX
RAM : 4 gb kingston ddr3
Case : Galaxy 3 with 450w PSU
Processor : AMD Bulldozer FX 4100 black edition
hard drive : IDE (working, taken from old computer)
disc drive : SATA (working, taken from old computer)
grapics : onboard GPU
so i assemble it all correctly checking on various websites for guides. It comes to the first boot so i go ahed and power it up...
i get fans,lights but no beeps and no dispaly. i think ok and i check all the connections in case something is wrong. i find nothing. i try again and get the same as before. when i was buying it the person at the till advises me not to buy generics ram but i couldnt afford any more at the time. i think, ok its the ram. i took it back earlier tonight and got some better kingston ram. Between Sunday and Wednesday i have tried many things. for instance i : tried a different monitor, tried a sata hard drive, i reset the CMOS (with jumpers, battery removal and both at the same time). so i get my new ram and i try again. and get the same as before. i look on various sites and decide to try breadboarding it. finally i get beeps and work out that its saying ram error. i try reinstalling the ram and nothing. i try inserting and removing the ram 10 times to remove oxidisation and get nothing.
im at loss as for what to do next and any help would be realy appriciated.
