Hello, recently I have picked up these parts for a new system which I put together myself:
I3 7100 proccessor
Msi gtx 1060 gpu
Corsair 2x4 ram
B250M d3h mobo
Wd caviar blue hdd
A 500w psu
So i've put it all together and tried to boot it, all the fans spin and the led on the motherboard lights up but i get no image nor do i get any beeps. I have a single 4 pin connector from the psu for my 8 pin motherboard but it powers all of it fine, i've tried breadboarding and i still had no beeps, i've also tried various guides regarding this problem.
I also had continued hand contact with the case while I was working on everything but sometimes I didn't. What could be the problem please help

Yes, and I was using the port on my mobo for the monitor since my cable doesnt fit the graphics port but im pretty sure that the i3 has an integrated graphics card.

I have tried most of these already but no success, my guess is that i need a new psu with an 8 pin cpu connector or i could have shortened it somehow, could this be possible? I am also using a power cord from my previous psu.

thats hard to tell from here, the audio connector you are referring to may be for connecting the motherboard to the headphone jack on the front of your PC case. so you may get no beeps because your PC case may not have a speaker

Makes no sense motherboard use to come with speakers all the time back then, but not any more.... That's why when i do buy a mobo i get one with digital display that gives me a error code. Made life so much easier

yea, depending on the motherboard you get it will either have a debug LED display or some DEBUG LED's. the degung LED's included on my asus ROG H270f mobo helped me a lot when trying to get my computer up. although there may be some lower models that do not have any of these debug features

Apparently I was worried for nothing, I just didnt have the correct cable for my GPU and could only plug it into the motherboard, what a silly mistake. Thank you all for your answers.
