I'm in the process of finishing up my first build I am using a i7-4790k, with an Asus Maximuss Vii hero Mother Board, I have two 1tb HDD, and a 60gb SSD that I would like to install Windows to. Everything has gone smoothly up to this point, but when I attempt to install Windows via Disk I get a dialogue window that reads;

"A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB or hard Disk driver. If you have a CD, DVD, or USB flash drive with the driver on it, please insert it now.

Note: If the installation media for Windows is in the DVD drive or on a USB drive, you can safely remove it for this step."

It then gives me a directory to find a driver to install. I have tried downloading a list of drivers from Asus's sight and placing them on a flash drive, and directing the software to install these drivers but it has not worked.

You need to extract the drivers first, when you download the exe or zip file. The only drivers you need are those for your disk controller. I'm assuming you used the addon ports, which will give you that issue.

An easier way is to switch the sata port to the intel controller ones, it will improve performance and let you install without needing additional drivers.
